Which Payroll Submission Checklist Should I Complete?


BC’s new Mortgage Services Act has changed how we process payroll submissions. There are now two separate checklists, and you need to choose the right one for each deal.


The rule is simple: pick the form based on where the property is physically located.


Option 1:

BC Payroll Submission Checklist
Use this form when both of these are true:

  • The subject property is located in British Columbia, and
  • You are licensed in BC.


The property address you enter must be a BC address.


Option 2:

Alberta / Ontario Payroll Submission Checklist
Use this form when the subject property is located in Alberta or Ontario.


Before you choose

  • Check the physical address of the subject property, not where you or your client live.
  • The property must be in the province that matches the form you select.
  • Submitting the wrong checklist may delay your payroll.
