Mastering Document Collection in the Perfect Loan Process


We continue our deep dive into the Perfect Loan Process (PLP) series, focusing on the document collection and pre-review stages. This is a critical part of the PLP, ensuring that all necessary documents are accurately collected and organized before moving on to the underwriting stage.


After the mortgage application is completed, clients are directed to a secure portal where they can upload the required documents. This process is supported by automation through our CRM, ensuring consistent communication with both clients and referral partners. The Associate Mortgage Advisor (AMA) plays a key role in guiding clients through this stage, providing verbal support to ensure they are comfortable with the process.


Once all documents are collected, the AMA conducts a pre-review, cross-referencing and updating the application to ensure everything is in order. This meticulous approach reduces errors and prepares the file for the underwriter, setting the stage for a smooth review process.

Effective communication is emphasized throughout this stage, especially when it comes to managing client expectations and maintaining strong relationships with referral partners.
